Hello my name is Katie, I have a little girl who is 2years old. We'd really like to make some more friends for both of us. We live in Stevenage, but welcome friends in nearby areas as well.

Adam is lovely, he works as a computer engineer in Cambridge at the moment, Its very long hours so he's been looking for a new job closer to home. We met through work about 2years before we had Chloe. I'm pretty sure he went to Nobel school. We live in a house but not much cycling can be done in our little garden!

I work 6hours a week, normally Thursday afternoon and friday morning in Sainsbury's in Letchworth in the entertainment section (books dvds cds and games), Its a good job It's nice to earn a little bit of money and have some time in adult only company! Yes we'd like more children, we were going to start trying but decided to wait untill dp sorted out new job!

we would like another child but we have no room to put another one lol so we will have to wait till we have a bigger place who looks after chloe while you worki.

Adam's mum lives at the end of our road and she looks after Chloe most of the time. Its very handy having his parents so close! Do you rent your flat?

My LO goes to Peartree spring

mumof2rugrats · 07/03/2009 19:19

no its council and as we have 2 girls and 2bedrooms they think this is big enough but what they dont understand is that my girls room is the lengh and width of a single bed so it is a bit of a squeeze to fit a bed and a cot and toys in .

lisa is peartree a good school and how does your lo get on there .

klover · 07/03/2009 19:32

That definately sounds like a bit of squash, are you on a waiting list to get a bigger place, or will you have to stay put where you are?

we are on the list but they have a bidding system now and you have points for how long you have been on the list and how much space and things like that but we havent got enough for a place as you have to bid with your points against others .
it must be nice to have mil down the road for when you want some you time we dont have family close like that so i have my children 24/7, i do love my girls but everyone needs time off at some point poor abi has never left me i think she has enough of me sometimes lol .

klover · 07/03/2009 20:14

It is great to have his parents so close, Do you not ever get out in the evenings? Chloe used to find it really hard when I left her, but she's pretty used to it now. I remember about the bidding system, we went on the housing list and tried to do that before we had Chloe but didn't get anywhere so we managed to buy a house, which seemed like a good idea at the time, but put us under so much financial strain prob wasn't worth it!

no we dont ever go go out as we dont have sitters and james works long hrs and he so tied when he gets home we have dinner and then bed really and abi isnt a good sleeper so im tied most days too.

klover · 08/03/2009 07:41

We don't go out that often either, Adem goes round to his friends house once a week, I prob go out once a month. together its more like twice a year on our birthdays!! We both feel tired most of the time as well, I'm normally in bed by 9pm! Does Abi wake up most nights?
