It would be lovely to see you at our next 'meet up'...not sure when it will be. Perhaps someone will be prompted to host one after seeing this...there was rumour that it was sparklyprincess's turn , but she has been deserting us for scrapbooking recently .

I had a little nose at your pictures to see if I knew you...I don't, but your DCs are gorgeous. Just be warned that there are a lot of broody women amongst us who always want to cuddle newborns.

As for saving your sanity...I have the same age gap as you with my 2 DCs...its tough, isn't it. It was when my DD was little that I found this 'Colchester' bit and it was great to meet some new, fun, interesting people who are local. I hope its a help to you too.

Do you have a zoo card? I pop up there at weekends so dd can burn off some energy in the soft play bit and I can relax and read the paper uninterupted!

It is definitely my turn, SP has hosted more recently I'm sure, I remember the struggle walk up the hill, and the runaway pushchair. Am loving that we are fun and interesting Mung! Well hope that includes me.

Will probably host next week if anyone is around as March is very busy for us, too many birthdays! Friday is probably best for us, are you free Friday morning JIMW? Or possibly could do Thursday morning. Would be good to see you. Will post seperately just so that I can't back out. haha.

I can do Friday but not Thursday, as I have a 'Forest School' with DCs...I am really excited. We're den building and everything.

I have 2 DC's too, with a similar gap to you. DS is 2.4 and DD is 10 months - 17 month gap! I too found the Colchester local bit when DD was tiny and it's been brill!

thanks I do think they are gorge but then I am a little biased.

Sadly we are busy for the next 2 Fridays.

We are in White Notley which is bang smack in the middle between Witham & Braintree.

It would be great to meet you all and those that like newborn cuddles you are more than welcome. Great to hear some of you have little ones with a similar age gap to my to munchkins.

Hello Jam in your wellies. I have a DD who is 4 and a DS who is 3 (small age gap too!).

Mumsnet has been great for me and given me the chance to have a chat to some lovely mums with kids of similar age. Before i came on here i was also new to the area and knew zero squat people.
