I just wanted to make people aware of this as this is a very busy thoroughfare which I have used on many occaisions - on my own and with DS and have never felt unsafe using.

I also see lots of mums with pushchairs using the underpass.

hour ordeal for victim

The attack happened at 3pm. I was at the bus stop (in Fountain Park) which is right by the underpass about 20 minutes before it happened but I didn't see anything

God almighty that poor woman. How terrifying for her. That is a busy part of town!

Janos · 17/02/2009 20:07

Yes PottyCock..I just wanted to post up a warning cos I know how busy it is, and I've never felt unsafe there.

Just wish I could remember something helpful but I can't.

OMG. I used to use that underpass a lot. I never felt particularly safe walking through it especially as I used to do a lateish shift so would be going through on my own at around 8pm. There used to be an elderly busker and I used to give him something ridiculous like a pound every time I saw him because it felt so much safer with someone there.

For something like that to happen during the day is appalling.Poor girl I hope she recovers from it.

I saw this too. I used to go through there now and again when I lived round there and like others never felt unsafe.

Poor girl. I hope they catch the guys that did it to her.

mawbroon · 18/02/2009 08:49
