Can anyone recommend a GP in SW19?

I'm moving from overseas to the ministers area in June and will be 20+ weeks pregnant by then. I'd like to register with a GP as soon as possible and would be delighted if anyone can recommend a local hospital too. All advice welcome, I know nothing about having babies with the NHS!!!

My local surgery address is Princes Road - although it's actually on Trinity Road, so might be close enough for you. I have been registered there for 28 years and had all my antenatal care booked through them, and they have been fine.

Hi there, I use the Colliers Wood Surgery on Coliiers Wood high st. It depends where in SW19 you are? You could be anywhere between Wimbledon Village and Colliers Wood, SW19 is huge!
I'm currently almost 35 weeks pregnant and am registered with St.George's. I think your choice of hospitals would be St.Heliers (I've been warned to avoid!), St.George's or Kingston.
Apparently St.George's has the best neo-natal in Europe. However they have very strict guidelines on using the Midwife Led unit (Carmen suite), I'm not allowed a water birth just because I've had a c-section . If you want a water birth then go for Kingston as they have recently relaxed their guidelines in their MLU (Malden suite). However, Kingston gets booked up very quickly!

I had both of mine at St Helier (although a while ago no - '92 and '95) and it was brilliant. OK, decor left a lot to be desired, and the bathrooms were not great - although they were being refurbished - but the midwives and staff were absolutely fantastic.

oops just realised you said you are moving to the Ministers area, must have missed that bit So Colliers Wood is a little out of your way

Thanks everyone, that's really helpful. I'll try calling the Prince Road surgery.
