Does anyone know of a suitable venue for a first birthday party?

DS will be 1 at the end of March and we'd really like to have a little tea party for him and a few baby chums but sadly our flat is waaayyyy to small for this.

Anyone know of somewhere suitable that we could hire for a few hours one weekend day? I don't need fancy-pants party organisers or catering or anything (he's one, for heaven's sake!) just a space for some adults to watch the babes grub around and ignore one another

Thanks!

Hi

I have just booked Hackney City Farm for my post natal group. They have a large room which is suitable for a group of parents and babies. It costs £60 for a 3 hour hire and they only book it out on Saturdays 10-1pm or 2-5pm or Sunday mornings 10-1pm. I thought it was really good value as you can cater yourself (but you can't heat any food up) or take advantage of the lovely Italian cafe attached although you will have to contact them re their catering quotes. You can also take advantage of the farm animals to entertain too

you do need to email them for enquires and you can leave £20 deposit to secure date.

hopw this helps
