nice quality childfriendly restaurant please!

We are taking some friends out to dinner to say thanks for some help we have had from them. Our DS (2.6) will be with us so we want somewhere nice atmosphere, great food but child friendly. Budget is pretty healthy though not extravagant! Also we are veggie so it cant be just meat meat meat! Any ideas?? Thanks!

I did consider the Crown bed and breakfast thing...DH was anti The Crown though this year as we had been a short while before. He was being really fussy for some reason! I do know the Milsoms chain...never been to either of the Talbooths though. Never really been overly impressed with Milsoms.

I think i'm going to have print all this out, highlight bits and keep it for when friends come to stay and we can NEVER think of anywhere to go for lunch!!!
