I went here today (free cake of course!)www.babytradingco.co.uk/
They have just opened but have quite a bit of stuff. Nice buggies and some lovely Italian boys shoes.
Just thought you'd like to know of somewhere else to offload stuff (and buy more!)

That looks like a good idea. Do you think it will catch on?

I have met a few people who were funny about second hand stuff for their PFBs (not me!!)

Wonder what I can offload there....

Ooh, might be good timing, am just clearing out lots of stuff. What fees do they charge, do you know? Can't see any info on website.

We got a flyer at nursery for that. Didn;t realise they were having cake and cava though as would have gone for a nosy if I;d known that!

I think that they will take a commission from the selling price? Perhaps 15-20%?

I sold a lot of DS's stuff through NCT sales - they take 30% though and polwarth toddlers - you pay £12.50 for 50 tickets. Those charity sales are hard work though as it takes ages to label up your stuff.

I had thought of setting up a similar scheme but never got further than thinking about it !

oh just noticed your name curlyredhead hello

bookswapper · 02/02/2009 19:33

They take 20% but I think they do all the online advertising for you. They also store the stuff in their "shop" and people go and visit, look at stuff in the flesh.

Mawbroon... I think they take good quality stuff so it may well catch on. The stuff for sale on Saturday was really nice. (Barely used prams caught my eye - not that I need them of course!)

The website is being updated at the moment, I'll dig out my flyer and get some info.
