Pottery Painting at Roobarb & Kustard Ceramics Cafe

Hi,

I thought I would create a post highlighting my pottery studio in Northampton town centre.

Roobarb & Kustard commenced trading in October 2008 and is a fantastic environment for children to explore their creative talent. The feedback from our customers so far has been fantastic! You can paint pottery items from just £3.

You don't have to paint though. As a cafe, you can just call in for a gourmet coffee (we are barista trained just like Costa & Nero staff). We also serve Twinings Tea and fabulous hot chocolate with marshmallows if you wish!

As a mum of 2 (1yr & 4yrs) I have made a conscious effort to ensure that the cafe is set up for families. We have highchairs, baby changing facilities, bottle warming, snacks for the kids but also gourmet coffee and handmade cakes for parents!

I've just got home from having a fabulous time with my children (10 and 6) painting a mug and a monster. Drink and sarnies included, too.
Eldest was a little reluctant at first (thought he was too "cool"), but the cafe soon filled up with kids his age as well as preschoolers.
I had a coffee and watched my kids splattering themselves with paint, whilst happily knowing I didn't have to clean up after them!

I would just like to say that this is a fantastic place to bring your children. I have been there with my then 5 year old son twice, once as a "date" with another mum and child and once just me and him. Coffee is to die for, children's snack box is fantastic and the cake is yummy. Would definitely go again.
