What's the going rate per hour for a cleaner in Edinburgh? Might have to become one...

I am in Livingston and my last cleaner was £8 an hour. She asked me to supply my own cleaning products as she was a bit cheaper than some others. HTH

£9 an hour cash in hand to a Polish lass. I supply the cleaning products etc.

I pay the cleaner £6.50 an hour and the agency £2.25. I always find it ironic that our child minder costs less at £4.00 an hour.

Am a bit surprised actually - when I could still afford it I had a cleaner who I paid 8 euros an hour to. With the current rate of exchange that's about the same as in Edinburgh...

rookie - I paid my American nanny 8.50 euros an hour tho she had asked for 8 because I thought she should get more than a cleaner...

my cleaner gets £19.50 for 3 hours (cleaning and ironing - bliss) - and I also pay a small fee to the agency - I supply cleaning products

Well atm i only have 1 pre schooler and my after schoolies (2) don't pay me in the hols so the money is shit atm I would def be better off cleaning houses than looking after their dc lol

Yes, I do. But I don't have any perm mindees and only do short term/emergency cover which I think justifies charging more IYSWIM.

I had siblings. A very full time 4yo (sometimes 50hrs a week) and his sister before/after school.

I had another wee boy now and again for one afternoon.

You know what though, by the time you add in all the time we spend doing all the shite that the Care Commission want, the hourly rate plummets.
