New Town Nurseries - Doune Terrace, New Town Nurseries and Prime Time Nursery = thoughts?

Recently moved to Edinburgh to New Town and am looking for a nursery for 2 - 3 days a week for my 18 month old son. So far I have viewed Doune Terrace and New Town Nursery Too on Forres St which seemed OK. Due to see Prime Time on Queen St tomorrow. What is the reputation of these nurseries ? Does anyone have any knowledge/experience ? Thanks so much.

Sorry - don't know these nurseries - my dd went to Bright Horizons Annandale Street a couple of years ago now - didn't want you to get no response at all.
From memory Doune Terrace and New Town 2 had good reputations - but so much is dependant on the staff in the room your ds will go into. Your gut instinct is also key!
Good Luck.

Hi

I used to work for one of the Independent schools in Edinburgh and we used to get many children joining P1 from Doune Terrace and Prime Time Queen Street nurseries. The parents were all very happy with the nurseries and both had good reputations.

One of my friends has her son in Prime Time Queen Street too and he is very happy there.

thank you. It is all so dependant on the staff though isn't it. Glad you have good memories nail polish ! Will look at Bright Horizons too.

My dd was at New Town Nursery Too three days a week from 6 months to 15 months old. I had no complaints at all, the baby room was lovely and staff seemed pretty competent. I only moved her because I changed job and put her in a nursery closer to my house.

Hi

My son is at Prime Time - he is 20 months. We are fairly happy although recently they do seem to have some turnover of staff (i am not sure what the norm is). The building is nice and they do plenty of activities.

I work very close to Primetime and there are always lovely cooking smells wafting out the windows and soundsof toddlers having fun!
