Hi

I need to get a christening cake for my daughter's christening in 2 weeks. Can anyone recommend somewhere in colchester to do this for me please?

Look at the M&S website - they do some lovely cakes that you can collect from any store and they taste great.

here

Or they do plainer ones which you can have iced with a message.

There is a lovely cake shop opposite Wilkinsons - the cakes taste absolutley gorgeous.

Thats what I was going to suggest Twims. Its quite new I think.

But M&S idea is good, was going to do that for our wedding in 2003,but DSIL made ours instead.

Alternatively, You can get a Plain white Iced one from Tesco/Sainsburys/Asda and pop in that cake shop and get your own decorations.I even write on mine, and I'm not really any good at "all things artistic",but it comes out ok.

Oooo might have to check out that shop myself for some decorations

DD's christening cake came from that shop - it was very tasty

Good price too and they do really late orders - they said they only need about 3 days notice.

Hope yours turns out as well!
