Basic question - can anyone tell me roughly how much it is for a days childcare?

About 50 quid apparently.

I pay £4.00 an hour for a childminder. I also use a scheme through my employers which means that I don't pay tax or NI on the first £250 per month, many employers have a similar scheme.

I went to a nusrsery the other day,

£40 pound a day.

Seems to be average in the places ive been looking.
