Hi NIMUM

Haven't posted in this section before, but decided to have a look at the local sites - not the busiest!!

However, just on the offchance that this thread is read - you mentioned in one of the threads that your little one has dyspraxia, you may already know but there used to be an organisation called Contact a Family - not sure of their number but they might be able to put you in touch with another family with similar issues. I have 2DS's and 1DD. DS2 has asd.

My SIL is due 4 days before I am!!

This is my first, although I am 40. Late bloomer, that's me.

Yeah - we doubled Helensmelons figure - there are now ten mums posting here!! I just keep dipping in for a nosey... :-) Hope the weather stays nice so we can get out lots this week, going to check the MET site now! I need good weather to be able to keep up with the laundry too, potty training is sooooo much fun!

sillynoodle · 17/04/2009 19:52

Hi folks. Just thought i should post and help boost the numbers. i have just 1 ds, 7 months last week. The time has just flown in, already contemplating another one. madness. . .

Zzzzzzz · 19/04/2009 22:11

Go for it!! There is 14 months between my 2 DDs and they are brilliant company for each other. They look after and look out for each other and the youngest copies everything her sister does - including wanting to sit on the potty! Hooray! :-)I figure when they are out socialising when older they'll look after each other then too.

PlumBumMum · 28/04/2009 20:03

Or they could fight over boyfriends, clothes and makeup

nimum · 01/05/2009 23:04

OMG, where did everyone come from? I haven't really bothered to check this site as it was so underused. Was talking about it the other day to someone who thought that NI mums were just not IT savvie yet!!! I'm originally from England and I really took offence at that so I must be officially an Ulster girl now!

I'm the one with the DD (5), has verbal dyspraxia - goes to S & L school in Jordanstown - progress great but wet pants during daytime - big issue - a battle of wills going on!! Tried everything: please don't suggest reward charts, ignorring it etc, it's all been done. Also have a DS (8). Want a third child but don't want pregnancy or a baby - what's that all about?? Work in mornings in family business - love it - love being a mum but = love being me!! ! Look 4wd to getting to know some of you, now that we have achieved our goal of 5!

Zzzzzzz · 02/05/2009 21:55

Yep! I have a feeling there will definately be fights over boyfriends and make up too (big sigh). The clothes fights started the other day as they are nearly in the same size and sometimes insist on swapping clothes...
NImum - totally with you on the another child but no pregnancy bit. Think I will stick with two though as we don't have space for any more! Honestly have no idea what to do about the wet pants.. what made biggest impact on DD1 was another little girl abt 1 year older and they talk abt how they are big girls who can go to the toilet. DD1 just keeps on talking abt being a big girl like her friend and they also like to compare pants every time they meet!! I also think having a potty buddy at nursery really helped her too. Don't know if that is of any use?
Really pleased that the local bit is getting more use. It good to chat!

PlumBumMum · 15/05/2009 12:54

Oh we really are slow moving even our local site is out of date we'll not win the mumsnet award

nimum I don't have any tips on the wet pants I'm afraid as we did rewards/stickers etc

Well I have 3 and no3 is a hoot, she is so different from the other 2 and certainly keeps the other 2 on their toes, think we'd like another one but still in 2 minds so obviously not ready yet

wakemewhenitsover · 29/05/2009 16:44

Thinking of going from 2 to 3 but find it a struggle managing 2. DS1 is 4yrs and DS2 is 17mths. Would love to try once more for a girl (although would be happy with another boy) but wonder how anyone manages with 3? DS2 is really clingy at the moment which doesn't help...Nice to see other NI Mum's
