Thought I would see if we can squeeze in a meet before Xmas

Would anyone like to come over either Thursday or Friday of next week?

I can do either so we can go with the majority

I shall bake a cake

I agree. You don't bounce back so quickly with each new baby I found. When my DS was born I was 31 (felt like an "old Mum" then LOL,little did I know)He didn't sleep through until he was 6 mths old,I dealt with it then, was out and about all the time.

With DD1,I had just turned 40,and the nights were much harder. But at least DS was at school so I could rest during the day.

With DD2,so much harder, she didn't sleep through until she was 5 mths, and I felt quite down and exhausted most of the time.Everything seems harder to take when you are sleep deprived.

Angiewoo · 13/12/2008 07:39

Sorry Mrs M, would love to have come but can't make it I'm afraid, next week is pretty chocker block now trying to fit everything in before Christmas. Have a good morning though xx

MrsMagooo · 13/12/2008 13:47

Sawyer that's how I'm feelin at mo, very down. I know it's not PND though but I can't seem the get the HV to see that it literally is sleep deprivation (she has no children )

Angiewoo no worries lovely - will see you Tuesday for a natter

Ah well,MrsM,you have alot of people here who know just how you are feeling,it does help to meet up, and talk doesn't it?

Those sleepness nights do pass so quickly, especially with the 2nd DC don't you find?

before you know it,he'll be going through, and you'll be missing that "special time".

MrsMagooo · 14/12/2008 21:37

It certainly does - I felt very isolated with DD so it's lovely to have like minded folk about this time around

I'm trying not to wish the time away as no more babies for us but at the same time looking forward to a good nights kip

I'm wish, wish, wishing the time away all the time! Feel quite bad about it sometimes but I'm always saying ... by next summer they won't argue ... soon we'll be able to throw these *&^$&%( stairgates out of a window ... one day I won't have to wash nappies ... and I'm really looking forward to when DD2 goes to playschool and I'll get a couple of mornings a week ON MY OWN!!! Long way off though and I'll cry when it happens

Thank god mine sleep now - I was an ogre when I was sleep deprived!

Anyway, Sawyer - yes I reckon we'll be wanting to leave at around 9.30 so calculate how long it'll take to get the car seat in and arrive then! I don't mind driving round to yours if it's easier than lugging the car seat over.

See you then xx

Sawyer64 · 15/12/2008 17:48

I'll be back from the School walk Run at 9.05 am.Yes that would be easier,if thats ok with you.Pull right in on the drive.

Sorry SP what was that about "...By next summer they won't argue....."???Think you may be sadly dissillusioned(sp?) with that one

MrsMagooo · 15/12/2008 22:12

I'm looking forward to slingout out the stairgates too - you are not alone!

Hi Mrs Magoo. Thursday is my only free day this week, so can I decide on the day depending on how my two are. Can you send me your address anyway, so that I am prepared if I do come? My email; hjscho @ hotmail dot com

MrsMagooo · 17/12/2008 07:38

Have emailed you Mung

I can dream Sawyer!

Be over at about 9.20 tomorrow - does that give you enough time?

Sawyer64 · 17/12/2008 21:07

Yep! No problem. Thanks.

Well your girls may be very different from mine.Best friends, and very good at sharing.

I think, in our case, the arguing gets more verbal, and a little less screaming.I'm starting to realise why people buy 2 identical toys, used to think it was nice to have slightly different ones,or different colours, but everything has to be identical in our house!!!

See you tomorrow.

Mung · 18/12/2008 08:54

I'mnot going to make it today. The impromptu potty training is getting to me this week...I have been putting nappies on DD when we go out,but I feel that is sending mixed messages. So, thats it now...no more nappies. I am secretly happy, as it means less washing .

Have a good morning.

Sawyer64 · 18/12/2008 12:50

Sorry we couldn't make it either MrsM.

As you have no doubt heard by now,DD1 stayed off school with earache,so although initially she seemed eager and well in herself,to come and trash play , she felt worse as the morning drew on.

Hope you all had a nice morning, hope you found it SP,sorry to let you down last minute.

Have a great Christmas one and all!

Sawyer64 · 18/12/2008 13:16

DD2 is potty training at the moment. We started spur-of-the-moment,about 3 weeks ago,as she was telling me she'd "done a wee"(in her nappy),she still says that now, even though she's asking to go and do one.

Hope it goes well.

SparklyPrincess · 18/12/2008 15:59

OMG Mung!! Don't let her tell DD2 - I'm not ready for that - waiting for the summer, and we don't even have a potty at the moment!

No problem Sawyer, hope DD1 is feeling better now and that you have some chocolate left on the tree!

Thanks for a lovely morning MrsM - hope the mess didn't take Harry too long to hoover up...

MadameCastafiore · 18/12/2008 16:16

SParkly I have about 3 potties (unless DH has chucked 2 in the skip!) - I also have a matching step and toilet seat if you want them - they are cluttering up the downstairs cloakroom and Mung's DD is the only one that has put them to good use in the last 14 months!

MrsMagooo · 18/12/2008 18:08

You're most welcome Sparkly we had a lovely time the hoover Harry had the crumbs up in seconds & DD sat & watched me tidy up because in her words 'No me to sleepy...Mummy do it'

SparklyPrincess · 19/12/2008 23:41

Thanks MC but we've got all the kit, it just needs grandparents to remember to bring it back! And there is NO WAY I'm starting that malarkey again yet! I prefer washing nappies to washing carpets

Lol MrsM - my two were both fast asleep by the time we got home, DD1 lolled around on the sofa for the rest of the day.
