I've got to stay over night in Bridgwater for work this month and as dh is away, dd and my lovely mum are coming too. I'll be in meetings most of the day and was wondering what there was to do (especially if the weather is bad)as I don't know the area at all. DD loves swings and swimming and talking to other children. Thanks!

Oooh wonder where you are working....

Anyway... Sedgemoor Splash is slap bang in the centre of town. Sort of fun pool thing. Won't be too busy in term time. Victoria Park has a new playground with some pretty good stuff. - not far from centre of town.
There is a very small soft play place called Rascals.

Not a great deal else TBH. I live here and am very fond of the place in a sort of tolerant warts and all sort of way, but many will tell you it's the arsehole of the universe

Lovely countryside if you drive a little. You could feed the ducks along the canal I suppose. Whereabout are you staying?

Whereabout will you be staying.

Hi,

Thanks for that - sounds like enough to keep one little girl busy for a day or so!

We're staying at the walnut tree hotel I think.

thanks for your help!

Ah the Walnut Tree is in N Petherton about 3 miles to the south of Bridgwater.

There's a new soft play centre called "Willow Play Village" in Wyld's Road, it's not bad, bigger than rascals with a slide or two.

Aha! Of course. I'd forgotten about that. Bit out of the loop re little children these days.

thanks for your help - DD and her gran had lots of fun on the swings and at rascals. They did say Rascals was really quiet so I guess that's why.
