SOCK MONKEY!! It cost just 60p to make, and although you can see the stitches, and its a bit crapola - it has lots of character and is destined for DS's stocking.

Twims - i made mine for DS who is 21mo, so i hope he will be durable! I used felt instead of buttons for eyes, as im sure they would have been gnawed off. I used odd socks too - hes so cool - i must get a piccy on my profile! And it isnt tricky at all - just a bit time consuming. I feel all eco friendly and green with recycling pride come on mungaroo, you know you want to make one!

My sewing is terrible...well done you! Glad that you are feeling eco friendly...you'll be wearing a mooncup next!

well actually......i DO own a mooncup!! no need for it at the mo though - bf and all that. yep too much information there - sorry all!

in school there were adverts for them all over the students' toilets, and the girls and i were always joking about them, so for the 6thform leaving pressies, i told them - "i have mooncups for you all!!" stunned silence - NO - she couldnt have!! but i had made them all eggcups with their names and moons on them! ha!

I have made and stuffed 1 - just need to sew up the crotch Am using long socks so is quite a big monkey!

wow twims, thats so speedy!! what colour? stripes? boy or girl monkey? they are meant to be gender neutral, but my crotch seam looks suspiciously like a winkle! erm...and by winkle i mean penis!
