we have 1 DD (22 months), Dh has just changed his work pattern so now works 4 long days and has a day off in the week as well as the weekend. He has decided that on his wednesday off he wants to spend time just him and dd at a class/group etc, i think this is a lovely idea. However he wants me to think of something for them to do and he also doesnt want to be the only dad doing it. So i thought i would try and find some inspiration on here.

What does your DH/DP do with your DC's?

There are a few Dads who come to the Oakwood Toddler Group on Wednesdays - Parochial Hall on Fitzroy Drive - 10:00 to 11:30. £1 towards coffee and biscuits. Its a really nice group - don't know if it is any good to you?

Sing and Sign? Usually dads there, ditto JoJingles I think.

Dd is also 22 months. We loved sing & sign and dh used to take her if I was ill. My local one was on a Tuesday but I'm sure there's one on a Wednesday. Not going this term because the Stage 2 class didn't get enough interest .

We also tried JoJingles for a term and it was ok.

Some libraries do a reading time thing where you can go along and listen to a story with your little ones (it's free).

Ooh yes good one nutty. Our local library (Holt Park) does story time a couple of times a week and there's also toddler swimming at the local pool.
