oh that is the best age to meet new Mums with DS, dont worry, there will be lots of baby clubs to go to, you may have to travel a little bit closer to Swindon. It's a big change for you but am sure you will have an exciting time getting your new house ready for Christmas and deciding what you want to get out of this move as well. I was made redundant whilst on Mat Leave and it really made me feel a bit worthless/lost for a while, but it was the best thing that could have happened, have loved watching DS's grow and meeting new friends, am almost ready to return to work now (except on a sunny day when we have a picnic in the park)
