Thinking of this as a Christmas present for DD age 7 - would appreciate any suggestions of stables to talk to. Many Thanks

Hi surreylady, a stables in Eashing was recently recommended to us. I think they're called Greenways Farm & Stables; can't personally recommend them but I did hear good things. Eashing is about 10mins from Guildford (on A3-probably even less) so might be wortha look?

Hi SurreyLady,

There is a fab little school in ockham owned by a lady called wendy price. I'm sure she still does lessons.
her website is www.holisticriding.com/home.htm

her horses are lovely and the standard of tuition is fab.
I'm going to go back for lessons just as soon as i'm not pg any more!

Wendy Price as described above is a great long term ladies with the Kids. You will hav e to go a very long way to get a finer instructor for them. She's a kind of unusual international girl (been around for a long time with the younger riders).
Gets my 5* star rating. As they say, her horses are great; only problem is the kids can't take them home with them? But even that's possible!

If you are interested in some great literature on horses go to this Link.

Some is extremely beautiful.

The Link in the above cover of Wendy Price and her ability to train the children is wrong. The file should read {{http://www.tomcatinternational.com/news.desk/equestrian.pdf}}

The full stop was missing in news.desk.pdf.
There are some top class files and a Link to the beautiful Barn of the World's top Dressage rider Anky Van Grunsven of the Netherlands (Last three Gold Olympic Medals.
Thanks.
