Hi everyone!

Well i've been saying that i should invite everyone around here for long enough - and i have appreciated the hospitality of others.

I'm busy on Thursday but does anyone fancy popping round for a coffee or whatever next Friday? (not tomorrow).

I will have to get DD at 12.00 from school - but if your'e all still around it only takes ten minutes so it's no problem if you stay.

One proviso! new carpet went down today so chocolate and red wine are banned in our house for a month - after that it will be a free for all once again!

Ooh - me please!

I haven't seen anyone for AGES!

Sawyer64 · 09/10/2008 21:22

I'd like to join you Lucy too.Let you know nearer the time,as work unpredictable at the moment! Doing Flu Jabs all around the country! In Letchworth on Saturday,Barking tomorrow.....!
Promise to take our shoes off too!

Mung · 09/10/2008 21:29

You'll be glad to know that the Mung clan are already busy that day. That means that your carpet is safe from jam and your puzzles and toys will stay intact!

lucyfer2000 · 10/10/2008 19:46

would be lovely to see you again missisboot!

crikey sawyer - you'd think they would be able to sort a vague sort of rota wouldn't you!! - hope you can make it. Actually i could do with picking your brains about MRSA. My great aunt had to go in to hospital for a routine leg check (or rather lack of leg - it has been amputated) a few weeks ago. apparently they now test everyone for mrsa at the same time and she has it?? slightly confused cos they sent her home in an ambulance on her own, but she is perfectly healthy. do you think it is still ok to go and visit her with the kids???

By the way in case no one knows - i live in Great Horkesley and if you email me at [email protected] - I will send you my address and contact details. xx

Yes definitely ok to visit.Only a problem if you have an Open Wound......

About 1 in 3 of us carries Staph.Aureus on the surface of our skin, or in our nose, without developing an infection.

This is known as being "colonised by the bacteria". However, if Staph.Aureus bacteria get into the body through a break in the skin they can cause infections such as boils, abscesses, or impetigo. If they get into the bloodstream they can cause more serious infections.

Maybe they were worried about the potential risk to another patient if they had a wound etc. probably just being over-cautious.HTH

lucyfer2000 · 12/10/2008 21:19

Hey hope i haven't put you all off with talk of me carpets!! I'm not really that anal!! there seems to be a definite lack of response to my Friday morning offer! anyone coming? i'll bake a sponge...

Thanks sawyer - shall go and visit the poor old stick. so you are basicly saying that if six of us get together in a room, then the probability is that two of us would have exactly the same thing! I guess we should just be careful about washing our hands etc??

MrsMagooo · 13/10/2008 10:12

Xx

SparklyPrincess · 13/10/2008 16:29

Sorry I haven't replied before ... meant to!

We'd love to come over. Shall try to keep my little horrors under control...

What sort of time do you want madness to descend??

See you then ... SP xx

JentlyDoesIt · 13/10/2008 20:28

Sorry Lucy - been out of action after a wrist op...

We can't make Friday I'm afraid, got my friend coming over with her twins so I have to remove anything of any interest plus anything with wheat, soya, milk, in - oh joy...

lucyfer2000 · 14/10/2008 06:27

Well, i'm up stupidly early thanks to my little monsters deciding that 5.15 was a great time to get up and play with torches!!

Maybe next time mrsmagoo - carpet is crumb coloured which we hoped would be fairly good for kids and biscuits! probably now find out that is us grown ups that we have to worry about when half a bottle of red wine and a balti masala goes over it on a friday night!!

I hope your wrist is feeling better Jently, it sounded pretty sore. see you soon.

Madness may descend from around ten o clock as usual i'd say!

Hi,

I think I may be brave and try to get the 2 of them out of the house if thats ok? DP goes back to work tomorrow so I think it will do DS good to get him out and it will be good to see you.

I hope DS feels better soon Madame, tonsilitus is horrible.

Thank you Saz, hope the dentist goes ok.

Can you let me know where you live please Lucyfer? purple flower 1 @ live . co . uk (no spaces)

Mung · 16/10/2008 11:47

I am gutted that I'll be missing a cuddle with a baby. Hope you are doing well PF. If you want to get out of the house any other time, then let me know. I am about most days.

purpleflower · 16/10/2008 11:52

Thanks Mung, I may hold you to that I am dreading DP going back, DS is such a Daddys boy. I'm sure you will get a cuddle really soon. She is growing very fast though at 10 days old she had gone up to 9lb

Mung · 16/10/2008 11:54
