Hello!

I am new to mums net and need some help please.

I have a 2 ½ year old daughter and I am looking for a playgroup to send her to. I wondered if anybody could recommend any good ones?

We live in the Berechurch hall road area but can travel.

Many thanks
Jo

Do you mean somewhere that you drop your DD off at and leave or something where you stay with her?

If you want 'drop off' there is a good one called Caterpillars in Marks Tey and also another in the village hall in Marks Tey (forgotten its name, might be Tadpoles). Although these may be a bit far for you.

Welcome to MN by the way. Perhaps you'll make it to one of our meet ups soon.

If you are looking for one to stay with dd, I'd recommend the one on Monday morning's, St. Peter's Playgroup, on North Hill. It is from 10-12 and costs £2.00 to get in.

It is a friendly, relaxed environment. I have only recently started going there. I really don't like toddler groups, always feel like the outsider, but I think this one is nice.

If its a Playgroup as in Preschool you are looking for Try HERE

Alot of Playgroups/Preschools are over subscribed so have to be a little stricter on "catchment" areas being priorities, although not all are like this.
There is often a waiting list too.

If it a "play group" such as Parent and Toddlers,I can recommend two in Myland, one at St Michaels Church Hall in Mile End Road on Thursday morning at 10.00am,or theres one further up in Nayland Road at the Methodist Church on Tuesdays at 9.30am.
