Hi,
I am moving back to Medway shortly and am in need of a good Nursery.
I will be living either in Rochester or High Halstow so Strood, Rochester, Hoo or High Halstow would be ideal.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

HS - i used to ride my bike up the old Ratcliffe Highway!! I remember when it were all t'fields.......

heroicsavage · 11/09/2008 15:09

Lol. You know the hump back bridge?
Well, there was a rumour that there used to be a family living under it and when they started building the bypass they dug the banks out and found a shelter, there were adults and childrens clothes, plates etc, kettle, little stove and beds. My brother and I went down to see it al being taken away.
We lived in one of the two houses on the right hand side when going towards Hoo before the bridge.

A family living under the bridge?!! Were they trolls?! lol! Think i know where you mean re the house you used to live in.

Cadbury · 11/09/2008 16:12

I'm not sure what the Ratcliffe highway is. Probably know it by another name.

RGP - look out of your window towards Walderslade. I'm in one of the 3 story town houses with the v shaped rooves on H* Drive. How funny that we live so close to each other - as the crow flies anyway! Aero is litterally at the other end of M Road.

So where would be good to meet - I have to rely on busses and am confined to school hours. What about everyone else?

RGPargy · 11/09/2008 16:38

The Ratcliffe Highway is the road that goes from Wainscott to Hoo. It's a big hill that now has been made into a flyover. I'm not sure, but i think Ratcliffe Highway was a nickname given to it because of all the big lorries that used to trundle up it?? I could be wrong tho!

Agh!! Not sure i know which road you mean Cadbury! There's one H Drive near me, opposite the big toy shop and up the end of it is the pub!

I'm on Gy, if that's any help?!!

Seeing as you're so close, i dont mind giving you and Aero a lift if you need one. It'd be silly for me to wave to you walking to the bus stop while i drive past in my car!! haha!

Cadbury · 11/09/2008 16:39

No, I'm on the opposite side of the valley. Off Snodhurst.

Cadbury · 11/09/2008 16:40

I used to have flute lessons in G*Y

RGPargy · 11/09/2008 16:43

Ah gotcha!! I know where you are!! How funny!

What number was the house where you used to have flute lessons?

RGPargy · 11/09/2008 16:58

Actually it's fine, you dont have to tell me what number! Shouldn't ask, sorry!

Cadbury · 11/09/2008 17:42

I honestly don't remember - I was about 11 at the time. Her first name was Karen I think.

RGPargy · 11/09/2008 20:51

Ah right. We've only been here a year so dont really know anyone.

RGPargy · 11/09/2008 20:51

I mean we dont know anyone up this road. We do actually know people!

Aero · 11/09/2008 23:13

Ahem.........flute lessons in Galway??????? Cadders - lol (spot the Irish one).

I can do a meet-up too and am sure can bring you along Cadders, my dear. (I'm shy and always need someone to hold my hand at these things - Cadbury is an expert at this, hence I made it to the Xmas shin-dig a couple of years ago).

We could do the Tiger Moth I guess. I wasn't impressed last time I was there, but that was years ago and I've heard good reports since and would be willing to give it another go.

Ds2 has just started school, so I have a little time on my hands and this will increase when he goes full time at end Sept.

Cadbury · 12/09/2008 09:51

Lol RGP. I know what you meant.

Aero, its a date. I feel it's my duty to help you develop your skills as a lady who lunches now that himself is off to school. I know Aimie would love to see you (despite her coyness)

So are we looking at the end of the month then?

Aero · 12/09/2008 09:55

End of the month sounds good (if dh still has a job and I can afford a coffee). His company are in big financial doo-doo!! Watch Bloomberg news! Not good.

Cadbury · 12/09/2008 10:00

oh dear! Not good.

Aero · 12/09/2008 10:03

Just in the middle of us re-mortgaging too! Missing the first payment wouldn't look good! Actually, we are really worried about this. Might start a thread about what to do if the s**t hits the fan.

RGPargy · 12/09/2008 11:15

End of the month sounds good to me too (pay day!). The food in there isn't too bad actually. DP and I like to eat there now and then and it's fairly reasonable in price too.

heroicsavage · 15/09/2008 09:40

Hi All,
I hope you all had good weekends.

I would be ok for the end of the Month, will it be an evening thing?

OP posts:
RGPargy · 16/09/2008 23:18

Dunno actually! I was assuming it was a day time thing so we could bring the DCs but i'm well up for an evening thing too! I feel like i really need to get a bit ratted!

heroicsavage · 17/09/2008 07:16

Here here!

I dont mind either way really but a night on the tiles sounds like a good plan.

OP posts:
RGPargy · 18/09/2008 19:52

It does, doesn't it! Who else is up for a night on the piss town?

Cadbury · 18/09/2008 20:03

err, that may be tricky for me and possibly for Aero (although hoping all comes right for her quickly).
If I had a date, I could be more definite. Have a dh who has a habit of disappearing on business so it needs a lot of pre-organisation from my end.

RGPargy · 18/09/2008 20:19

Well either way, i'm up for meeting in the day or in the evening or both! Whatever suits the majority.

RGPargy · 18/09/2008 20:20

Actually, what i meant to say was that i am happy to go with whatever. If that makes sense?!!
