Merry Go Round reopens 1st Sept

Walked past Merry Go Round on Clarence Road, E5 a couple of days ago(2nd hand childrens clothing etc shop) and its reopening on 1st September under new management. They are looking for things to sell as I think its going to be run under similar lines as before. Sorry don't have the contact number but I am so happy as I bought loads of stuff there before my baby was born and it was always good quality so hope the new management will be as good and friendly as the previous owners.

I didn't know it had closed. What happens to all my stuff they have already? I'm sure my credit account must be nearly enough to buy myself a pint by now although if inflation hits 5% I could be in trouble

Hi ketchupkisses - I just passed by chance and got the grand sum of £4 - which tbh I think was wrong because I gave them stacks of stuff to sell

just passed merry go round today and new sign says it reopens on 8th September

Does anyone have any details of the previous owners? I had left lots of stuff with them (3 ikea bags of clothes and 1 bag of toys) and have not heard a thing. I only found out that it had closed through this thread. I had been calling for a couple of weeks but always got voice-mail box that said it was full so couldn't leave a message.

Spoke to the new owner today who unfortunately cant help. I am really annoyed as they take all your details when you leave items with them but have obviously chosen not to contact people to whom they owe money.

Don't have the details - I just happened to go there just before it shut..all a bit odd really

sorry no details about previous owners apart from one of them lived on a house boat. it was all quite sudden only a months notice about closure. sorry

have never sold through them but they always hada good selction of stuff (remmebers that I need some baby clothes for DC2)

I just called the merry go round shop today and they are finally open today so I hope to drop round to check it out this week. I am so pleased that we still have this shop in Hackney as its great to be able to get good quality 2nd hand stuff for babies as it saves loads

I went there today...nice clothes in there - met the owner she seemed nice. Not quite the same vibe in there - I think a little less community minded in some way
