Nursery recommendations

hi I'm wondering does anyone have their baby in a nursery around the Craiglockhart or Colinton area of Edinburgh that they could recommend? I'm planning on putting my dd who will be 9 months in 3 days a week & don't know anyone who has been to nurseries in the area.

My friend sends her children to a nursery in Craiglockhart and recommends it very highly.

Terribly unhelpfully I can't remember the name of it, but it is just off the main Craiglockhart Avenue and it part of a chain, with another one at Buckstone.

It is frightfully popular so there may be quite a long waiting list.

My friend uses Little Monkeys on Craiglockhart Terrace - no complaints so far!

what about the corner house nursery on Spylaw Road - it gets good reviews (though a bit more expensive)

My DS goes to Lanark Road nursery which is on..er..Lanark Road, near Kingsknowe Golf Club. It's very good.

Remembered the name now, they are Cranley nurseries.

babybear1, Lanark Road nursery is more or less opposite Kingsknowe Golf Club. Dunno if you know where that is?

But it is very good, they keep staff for a long time. DS has been there since he was 6 months and his key worker (who is lovely) has been there since then.

There is another nursery at the Gillespie Traffic crossroad further up the road. The Towerhouse Nursery. It has good reports and may be worth a look if Lanark Road Nurseryis full.
