Posting this for other Islington parents. Today my son's school (Canonbury Primary) received a threatening email, apparently around 8am, but parents weren't told until late afternoon and the message itself was pretty vague. I've heard from another parent that a different Islington school sent kids home earlier, with collection from around 8:15am. For what it's worth, when I was at Canonbury there was no police presence at all - no officers, no cars - and the only extra precaution was one caretaker on the gate. With the 9/11 anniversary tomorrow, I found that a bit alarming. Just sharing what I personally saw - would be interested to hear if anyone else noticed anything different at their child's school.
