Looking for local coffee and chat while settling into new bungalow

I have just got out of an abusive relationship and am very happy in my new bungalow or will be when his stuff has stopped cluttering up the place! it would be lovely to have either email pals or as i am mostly housebound except for things like hospital appointments which i get to thanks to Community Transport, if anyone would like to come for a coffee and a chat you would be very welcome. i do get fed up of talking to my dog!

Have you considered joining any local interest groups or church socials? There might be someone could give you a lift if mobility is a concern of does your area offer a dial-a-ride service?

Well done for getting out, OP, our sincerest congratulations on that but we're just popping on to say that we would prefer if this thread were more of an 'advice on how to find people locally' rather than a way of accessing people directly? Just to stay on the safe side, you understand!
