Looking to move to one of the villages near Chelmsford for DH's work, and have narrowed it down to these two. Our house is currently on the market but we haven't sold yet.
We were set on Writtle, having visited a few times and fallen in love with the place, but looking on Rightmove, there is a real lack of suitable properties at the moment within our price range (rather annoyingly because there were lots last year! The market really seems to have slowed down). Because of this we have decided to broaden our search area a little and really like the look and feel of Galleywood too, but don't know this area so well.
Does anyone have experience of living in either and if so, what are the pros and cons of each? My only concern about Galleywood is the lack of a GP surgery. Is this a big problem?
