Moving from Stretford/Old Trafford to Cheadle Hulme

Making the move, as the title suggests. I do love Trafford/Stretford for its community, accessibility and how there’s always something to do for the kids. There are a good number of kids centres and play areas. As the kids grow older, transport links and accessibility is great too. Unsure about some of the people in the area but they’re mostly nice!

I honestly want to know, will I find all this in Cheadle Hulme? I’m wanting the same I had in OT but with more greenery and out of the business of the main city!

My family will also be at a bit further away with the move, so I’m taking into account planning travel on weekends, etc. A 25 min drive with kids is always better than a 40 min drive (one way)! Is family life good there?

I’ve heard really good things about schooling and I’m aware of what I’ll be missing out by leaving OT (all-round good schools and possibility of kids attending a grammar school). We’ve come to the conclusion that both areas offer excellent schooling options and one isn’t necessarily better than the other (please correct me if I’m wrong).

This is the hardest life decision to make. Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks.
