Hi Miranda,

Hope to meet you soon.
I'm Jen. I have a DP Peter, DS 19 months and DD 9 weeks

Dynamicnanny · 19/06/2008 20:19

We're normally free in the mornings - where in Colchester are you?

Mung · 19/06/2008 22:44

Hi Miranda.

How easy is it for you to get about? We will probably meet up next Thursday, as it has been a couple of weeks since we all got together.

In fact, I dont mind hosting something for next Thursday morning if anyone can make it. If its nice we can sit in the garden and if its bad weather we can squeeze in indoors.

Are you new to MN or just new to the MN local bit? It took me a couple of years to find this part of it and now I hardly go on the main boards.

We're a friendly bunch, so I hope you feel that you can come along and meet us all.

Mung

Mung · 19/06/2008 22:48

Oh and Mummylovesprams...you could catch the train to Marks tey and I could get you and DD from there if you want.

mirandab · 21/06/2008 15:12

Hi Ladies

Thanks for your messages I live in Layer de la haye (not far from the zoo). I do drive so am able to get about

Unfortunately on Thursday I'm at the Royal Norfolk show and Friday I'm meeting a friend. Next week would be okay though if anyone can make it?

I have been a member of mumsnet for a little while but mainly browsing, haven't seen this bit before

Thanks again ladies, see you all soon, have a good weekend.

JentlyDoesIt · 23/06/2008 15:05

You're not too far from me either, I'm just off the Mersea Road, near the crem (quiet neighbours )

Hope to see you soon

MummyLovesPrams · 23/06/2008 15:41

Hiya girls

Bless you Mung that is so sweet of you!!

I'vt got my 34 week MW appt on Thursday slap bang in the middle of the morning so won't be able to make this meet but hopefully the next one.....well if Little Man doesn't decided to appear - the little monkey decided to try & come out on Tues so ended up in hospital most of last week

I dunno not even here yet & already got me running in circles ;)

XxXx

Mung · 23/06/2008 15:50

I hope all goes well for the appointment MLP. I also hope the little fella stays in a bit longer. Are you feeling OK though?

MummyLovesPrams · 23/06/2008 19:45

Thanks hun me too!!

Im ok, shattered though - we had to be transferred to Kings Lynn as Colchester SCBU was full so was a bit of a nightmare!

Ended up back at Colchester on Friday & couldn't wait to get home - the cleanliness was um well.....not great

DH's work have been fab & gave him some compassionate leave so have been able to get lots of rest

They gave me steroids to help strengthen his lungs so fingers crossed if he does try & escape early again he wouldn't be too poorly

Xx

JentlyDoesIt · 23/06/2008 20:33

Blimey MLP, hope you are ok now. What happened (apart from the nearly early escape)??

Fingers (and legs) crossed that he stays in for a few more weeks

MummyLovesPrams · 24/06/2008 10:19

No-one can really tell me (good old NHS) just that contractions started for what ever odd reason

They hooked me up a drip which thankfully did it's magic & stopped the contractions before we got to far into it so they stopped him coming!

Keeping fingers & legs crosedd that he stays put for at least another fortnight as he'll be so much stronger by then

All fun & games lol!!

It's Ava's 2nd birthday today so praying he doesn;t try & escape today of all days!!

XxXx

Sawyer64 · 24/06/2008 19:44

Happy birthday to Little Ava! Hope she has a nice day.

If the meet up is at yours next thursday

I'm sorry I won't be able to make it again!

Its DD1's Birthday Party at 1.30pm,

(Birthdays day before)and I will have 18 DC

-running riot- having fun ,so I will

need the morning to -panic- prepare.

So hopefully I will get to meet you soon.

MummyLovesPrams · 24/06/2008 22:38

Thanks hun

Ava had a lovely day

I don't mind what day we arrange a meet at my place as I have nothing booked in at all next week so whatever day is best for the majority

XxXx

MummyLovesPrams · 24/06/2008 22:39

Nope, hold on I lied - I have a consultants app on the Friday (4th) but can do any other day!!

XxXx

mirandab · 25/06/2008 18:46

Hello everyone

Glad to hear there's a few people near me

Just realised I have a birthday party Monday and DD1's sports day Thursday so the only days I can do are Tuesday or Friday, or else I shall try and meet up the following week - sorry for being so disorganised !
