Looking for a Party Venue

Hello,
We are having our twin girls Christened on Sunday 28th Sept which is the same day as our eldest dd's 5th birthday.
Can anybody recommend a local venue suitable for adults calmly celebrating a Christening in one room whilst 25 crazy kids play party games in the next room (or outdoors if the weather is nice).

Maybe try one of the scout huts? or The St Nicholas Church, that has a huge hall :) Something fancier the holiday inn???
