Hi, we are a family of 4 (girls 9yrs & 13yrs) wanting to have a change of lifestyle and environment. Both my husband and I are in our mid 40's so not sure if I am having a midlife crisis :)) We love North Devon outside lifestyle, sea, walking.....spend a lot of time on holiday there in all seasons not just the Summer not sure if I need the scratch the itch of moving to be near the coast.
My husband can work remote, I currently do not work but previously work in secondary schools as a safeguarding lead. my children are very active in competition squad for gymnastics, play tennis and netball.
Where we currently live is north of Bristol for 10 years previously lived in Bristol and I've never really settled here find it boring and non inspiring. My children love it but I think they would love it anywhere.
Opinions please - what is Braunton Academy like? type of housing? our housing budget would be up to £600,000 but could rent.
My question is do I stay here until the children grow up then move or scratch the itch me & my husband have had now?

I think the 13 year old would get pretty bored really quickly. It's rarely a good idea to move teenagers from a more populated area near a city to a village. Especially if they already love where they currently live. Had the kids been 3 and 7 or thereabouts I think it would have been a different matter. Integrating into a village as a teen can be so difficult.
