Hi

I am coming to visit my friend on Thursday mornings and would like to do something with our kids.

My ds2 is 8 months and her ds is 2 years. She does not take her ds to any toddler groups so I thought something like that would be good. Or maybe soft play areas.

Any suggestions gratefully recieved. Ds1 goes to grove road and she lives in jenny feild so if there something near either of them even better.

Sorry for VERY late reply. But if you're still interested jimblejambles, there'a a playgroup at St Andrew's Church in Starbeck on Thursday mornings, but it may be a little far for you both.
I think it starts around 9.30am and goes on until about 9.30. LAst time I went admission was about £2.50. That included toast and a drink for you littley and a hot drink fro you - and often toast too. So nice to have it made for you!! Price may have gone up since I was last there.

Harrogate & Knaresborough Toy Library holds Play Sessions Monday, Thursday & Fridays 10am-12pm,-in Harrogate High School, Ainsty Road.
They offer a great selection of toys, games and crafts with a sing song at the end; fruit, toast & juice for the little ones and a drink for adults all in the admission price. Admission is currently £3 per session but it is a quality play session and everyone is friendly and welcoming. I find it relaxing and not at all clicky!
In fact the Toy Library is recommended by health professionals because it gives access to toys and equipment which is not what you get on the high street and some is designed for special needs children so the educational value of the play is that bit more valuable!
