Secondary schools in Maidenhead and surrounding areas

Hoping to get some information on secondary schools in and around Maidenhead. DD is going into year 7 September 2026 so appreciate the cut off has passed. She has a visual impairment so will try and get her in on medical grounds. Anyone know if any schools have good pastoral care as while she is in line with her peers academically, she struggles with her emotions due to her condition. Also has a autistic brother so trying to get the support she requires in a secondary school. Will need to move from London so starting house search. DS is in special school in Maidenhead.

I think you’d be worth making contact with the SENCos and getting a feel for how you think they may be able to support your DD.
I’d says Newlands is worth considering, maybe also the Piggott School (around 20 mins from Maidenhead).
Furze Platt I believe has good SEN support, but I wonder if your DD might find it a bit big / busy with her visual impairment.
Holyport College also worth looking at.
