As suggested by Barbos who is soon to be living in Ickenham (welcome!)....

It might be nice to do an evening meet-up so we can get to know each other? What do you think?

Any takers?

Hi

I have just joined mumsnet and have 4 month old twins (and a 7 year old) and live in ruislip. As a second time mum I did not do antenatal or NCT this time round. I would love to mee up with some local mums. Evening good for me.

MrsRecycle · 04/06/2008 10:41

welcome - Veena - I have a 7 year old - what school does yours go to?

Glad evenings are good. Anyone else?

Hi Mrs Recycle

I am a Primary School Teacher and so my son attends my school, which is St George's in Sudbury Hill. If we did a daytime outing sometime he would love the company!

MrsRecycle · 05/06/2008 12:48

Hi MrsBakerGirl and welcome - if there is a daytime meet-up, I'll let you know.

Hi Mrs Recycle

I changed my password and MrsBakerGirl and VeenaBaker are both me. Forgot to say that! So I am up for both evening and daytime meets as said in both messages.

MrsRecycle · 06/06/2008 11:24

Oh I see now - sorry didn't click. So far we have:

MrsRecycle · 10/06/2008 15:52

So it looks like Ruislip is a good location - shall we set a date/location?

I can do next week - Wed/Thur - MrsBaker/BunnyBaby are you free then? Or do you want to make it the week after?

Any preference for venue - PizzaExpress/Bluebeckers/PizzaOrganic/Thai/Indian?

Looking forward to meeting you all.

I can do next Thursday but can't do Wednesdays as I have a dance class. (Trying to lose a few pounds before dd and ds christening)!

I haven't tried the Thai in Ruislip so wouldn't mind doing that. I eat in Tempatation (new Indian) a few weeks ago that was nice. Wouldn't mind either.

I do the others quite a lot but don't mind if that is what you both prefer.

Looking forward to meeting you both and anyone else who joins us!

MrsRecycle · 10/06/2008 20:37

Next Thursday it is then - I don't mind trying the Thai as well. What dance class do you go to? I keep on trying to get out of the house to get to keep fit but never seem to manage it lol.

MrsBakerGirl · 10/06/2008 20:47

I go to a "Set Dancing" class at the school where I am a teacher. One of the teachers runs it. It is a type of Irish Dancing - I am half Irish and started Irish dancing when I was 10. It is great fun and exercise. I can't abide keep fit as it feels too much like hard work. I need to feel like it is fun to get me there!

What is the Thai called? Is it the one down by Woolworths? I probably walk past it everyday but can't remember.

MrsRecycle · 11/06/2008 09:33

Oh that sounds like fun - I might join you - I used to love dancing.

I can't remember what its called but yes the one by Woolies. I'll have a look when I'm next in the high street.

Barbos, I think I may have a cleaner for you - I'll text you her number - I've just spoken to her and mentioned that someone in Ickenham wants a cleaner and she is going to Ickenham tomorrow to clean. If you ring her and say you've just spoken to me about the Ruilsip job.

There is another person joining us on Thursday who lives in Eastcote. I met her yesterday through another site and she would love to join us for a meal out. Looking forward to meeting you all!

BunnyBaby · 15/06/2008 15:42

MrsRecycle · 16/06/2008 14:45

There is a picture on my profile so you'll know what I look like..There is another mumsnetter in the area called LadyG coincidently - I'll see if I can CAT her and get her to come along although she is expecting pretty soon so probably won't be able to.
