Moving to Carnforth - anyone know what's there?

Hello,
I'm moving up to carnforth in a few weeks and I was wondering if anyone lives near there or knows of stuff going on locally. I've been isolated in a tiny village for two years and I can't wait to go out and meet people who don't ask if I'm the nanny.
