Dc aged between 19 and 10, all have SEN, mainly autism/adhd. Looking for somewhere to meet up with friends, not far because of travel sickness. Is the aquarium at lyme regis any good? It's cheaper than the sea life centre at Weymouth but looks a lot smaller so not sure if it's better to bite the bullet and go to the more expensive one.

The aquarium is small but interesting, and you used to be able to feed some of the fish. There's also the museum at the other end. Are you staying in the area or do you live locally? That would probably make a difference to my suggestions!

The Aquarium is tiny. You could maybe spend an hour tops there, and it is absolutely not comparable to the Sea Life Centre at Weymouth!

We did a fossil hunting expedition led by the local museum in Lyme once. It was one of the best things I have ever done, the chap who ran it was put on this earth to tell people about fossils - he would not let you leave until he’d found you an amazing fossil.

My kids are younger but I enjoyed it as much as them.

We did the fossil hunting at Charmouth a few years ago. The lady leading it told everyone to use the toilet in the visitor centre before we headed down the beach. I liked that family friendly touch.

Thank you. We live about 40 minutes way and friends are on holiday there so we are just going down for the day to meet up with them.

I was going to suggest a guided fossil hunt thingy at Charmouth, might be age and SEND appropriate for all potentially?
