Anyone had a home birth in Greenwich?

Hi - I've just found out I'm pregnant , and I'd like to look into having a home birth, but I don't know where to begin. Not sure my doctor will be sympathetic and wondered what other people's experiences were. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi and congratulations! I haven't had one, but your doctor might be sympathetic after all - mine actually suggested it (as an option) if everything else in the pregnancy is fine. So as a starting point, why don't you mention to your doctor that that is what you would like (if you do) and go from there. You would probably be under the care of specific midwives (it differs depending on where you are situated), and they'd be able to discuss it in more detail.
