There must be a few bods in the Windsor/Ascot area....

I'm in Ascot, one 19 month old and one more on the way. Work for myself (specialist ante/post natal personal trainer and run Buggyfit here),been living in Windsor/Ascot for about 5 years.

Would love to meet up with anyone for coffee/cake/chat (wine's off the menu for a few months sadly).

Would also love to hear any suggestions for things to do with a very energetic toddler over the summer when a lot of the usual activities stop for the holidays.

I'm in the area - based on you running Buggyfit I think you know of me I nanny for children in Bagshot so can often be found around the local area - Sunningdale Rec Ground this afternoon for picnic tea for example.

Things to do... lots of playgrounds around, walks around Great Park, Legoland, Lookout Discovery, pick-your-own at a farm. Wet days I find are the problem - indoor play places are often packed during school holidays, swimming pools would be as well I expect.

hey there - I think I've seen you at the Sunningdale Rec. Thanks for the reply. Agree, there is masses to do round here when it's good weather! We always seem to struggle a bit when the weather's rubbish, esp at half term. Go to Jake's a lot which is great but I'm pregnant, so getting a bit fat to squeeze therough those rollers (!) and swim prob once a week.

What's the Lookout Discovery centre like - my daughter's 20 months?

H.

I've taken under 2's to Lookout. They don't tend to do a lot... playing with the boats on the small river indoors tends to be the thing they are drawn to.

If you venture further, Little Angels at Sandhurst is a lot cheaper than Jakes during school term time. Sandhurst park is also good - has sand under some of the low level play equipment. See the Mumsnet Local map for locations.

Good indoor places are always hard to find. PlayGym at Rushmoor Gymnastics (Aldershot) is quite good. Again see Mumsnet Local map.
Pheonix Gym is supposed to be ok, but I've only been once. Do you go there? What is it like? Do they still do play sessions, rather than classes?

No doubt you have seen me at Sunningdale Rec. At least, seen my car - can't really miss it

I am moving to Sunningdale shortly and do not know the surrounding area very well. I cannot figure out which Mumsnet Local to join. Please help!

Hi. My name is Linda. I am commenting on this thread as there may be people viewing it who maybe interested in a brilliant product I?ve found for Babies/Toddlers!

Ever tried to push a pushchair in the snow? Or on a beach? Ever tried to pull a baby/toddler in an ordinary sledge!? They just fall out! The Baby Luge is perfect with it's seat and safety harness!

It's 71cm long and 36cm wide.

I tried to get one for my baby last year and they sold out everywhere. :-( So this year I've placed a bulk order with the manufacturer making it possible to sell these at £25 each. Please get in touch if you would like one....they're £50 on Ebay!! (Type Baby Luge into the Ebay search to see a picture)

MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS [email protected] ? please do not reply via this thread as it belongs to another topic. Please e-mail me directly.

Get in touch if you would like one! And please don't wait until it snows as I will have sold out by then!

If you know anyone else that may be interested then please pass on my details at any baby/toddler meetings/groups! Mum's will love it!!

Also if there are any events in your local area and you would like me to post some flyers to you to give to other mums then I'm happy to pop some in the post!

The sledges are free local delivery to the Hull/York Area. Elsewhere will be £5.99 postage and packing.

They make perfect Xmas pressies for other babies too as most mums don't even know this baby sledge exists!!

I look forward to hearing from you

Linda.

Hi Roary, I live very close to Sunningdale, I'm not sure either which one's the best Mumsnet local... I hesitate between Windsor, Bracknell and Guilford but will probably stay with Windsor

CanadianInWindsor · 12/04/2011 15:05

Hi ladies. I've just moved from Canada to Windsor for a few months because of my husband's job. Our flat is right in the centre of the city and I would love to meet up with people. I don't have a car so preferably somewhere walking distance from the castle.
Thanks!

Hi
I'm organising a sponsored walk on Saturday 14th May starting at 5pm - 7 or 13 miles - taking in the sites of Windsor in aid of registered children's charity called Sebastian's Action Trust. It's in aid of a very local charity (based in Sunninghill) Sebastian's Action Trust. We provide practical support to seriously-ill children and their families. We're also opening a unique holiday home 'The Bluebells' this July- a place where families can go to spend precious time together away from gruelling hospital treatments.
Come and join us - everyone welcome!
www.sebastiansactiontrust.org for more information.
Hope to see you there
