Help me find my friend a mothers help

A friend is 8 months pg with 2 DCs already aged 17mths and 3 yrs. She is looking for a mothers help type person for a couple of mornings a week. Someone to come along and either do housework and/or entertain the older DCs whilst she catches up with some sleep or spends time with the newborn. She is based in South Edinburgh and doesn't want to use an agency as too expensive. I did recommend Gum tree but has anyone got any other ideas or suggestions, or ideally a granny type that they know who fits the bill.

I had a really fantastic post natal doula but she wasn't wildly cheap. She was lovely, though and very good with my dd who was 2 when ds arrived. www.mothertomother.co.uk

if the idea of a young person appeals to her she could advertise in local colleges (like the uni or telford college - uni for primary school teachers or telford for nursery nurses who are training)
the student would be glad of the experience
i know my 2 girls love spending time with people that age (late teens/early 20s)

gumtree is a good idea tho, when i was looking for someone i found lovely girl called claire who was adivetsing on gumtree
