Thoughts on Staple Hill highs street to live?

Hey, I'm new here! We've found a house we'd like to buy in Staple Hill after falling in love with Downend, and finding our dream home. We're not local to Bristol/S Gloucestershire. The house we found is Staple Hill high street and the crime rates are 130% the national average. Has anyone lived there and happy to share their experience?

Dh Was living there when we met 30 years ago, it was nice being so close to amenities and the centre of Bristol, the house was a house share set back off the high street, but he was very happy to leave.
