Things to do with children in East Grinstead

We’ll be in East Grinstead for the day this Saturday and have a few hours spare before lunch.

What’s the best place to take two young children (3yo and 1.5yo) for a few hours to have fun and wear them out a bit? Soft play, play cafe, something a little bit different. Any/ all suggestions welcome.

There is the Kings Centre with softplay etc. Outdoors there is a park , Standen or Wakehurst place (both NT) or a trip on Bluebell railway, a bit further south at Upper Hartfield is Pooh Corner and walks to Pooh Bridge in Ashdown Forest.

The bluebell railway is a good shout. Although I suppose I’m more looking for the places where local families might take heir children to play weekly/ semi regularly.

We have actually tried the kings centre soft play and although it was inexpensive, we found it very small and a bit… shit to be honest (sorry!)

Any other ideas at all?

There's a play cafe opposite the Kings Centre, I've never been as my DC are too old but it might be worth a look. Then go and see the ducks at the pond behind and/ or visit the play park in Mount Noddy?
