Family-friendly areas - Bristol

Hi, I'm looking for some recommendations on family-friendly areas in Bristol. We are a family of 3 (we have an 8 month old) and are currently in a 2 bed terrace in Totterdown. We would like in the near future to try for another baby (and possibly one more following that, but let's see how number 2 goes!). Therefore, we will need a bigger house. We absolutely love Totterdown, and it's so perfect with a baby as we're so close to lots of baby groups, things to do as a family, brewery's etc. which we enjoy. It's definitely with a heavy heart that we need to move!

I wanted some recommendations for areas that might tick a few boxes (perhaps not all but as many as possible!).

  • Budget around £500k max
  • Ideally detached, but open to a semi-detached, with 4 beds, a garage and driveway
  • Somewhere with things to do within an easy distance, ideally walking distance for when my partner needs the car for work. Maybe somewhere to get nice beers, things to do as a family, decent shops, etc.
  • Somewhere with plenty of baby/toddler/pre-school groups
  • Good transport links into Temple Meads as I work close by and would also like to get in and out easily with the baby/future kids for things like the aquarium
  • Somewhere with a nice vibe/character, one thing I love about Totterdown is the feel of the area and the character that the terraced houses have
  • Good nurseries and schools

I'm keeping everything crossed that there is somewhere that ticks all (most!) of the boxes! We drove through Keynsham the other day but weren't too sure on it, but we perhaps need to look at it a little more before ruling it out.

Thanks in advance! 😊
