Toddler groups - any recommendations?

DS stopped baby signing at 2 years, he is now just over 2 and i am really struggling to find somehting else as fun and relaxed for him to do!

I think i also need to go to something more structured for a little while to get back into things as playgroups terrify me somewhat! I do go sometimes but it's all too easy for me to find a reason not too

We tried tumbletots a while ago but i found it quite strange they expected the children to go round in order etc - they are only little! Also it didn't seem to leave any time for parents to chat which is important to me as a SAHM.

He loves music, dancing, think he would like a relaxed climbing/jumping class, or anything arts and crafty - most things really - groups often seem quite hard to find!

Any recommendations gladly welcomed

ST Thomas' Toddlers is good - Wednesday mornings, from 9.30, usually at St Thomas' Church Hall on Earlham Road but due to a fire there temporarily at Trinity Street Church on Trinity St (off Unthank Road).

I'm afraid that's all I can think of - my DCs are all at school now!

There is also something called Presma - Pre school music - which my DCs used to love.

Toddler group at Witard Road Church Hall (on the corner with Plumstead Road East) is good. It's Wednesday 1pm - 2.30pm. The children have loads of opportunity to play with a variety of toys, including ride ons, mini trampolines etc and then a story and some singing at the end. The other mums are really friendly and it's not too big a group, so not too overwhelming. You can just turn up. They start back the first Wednesday in September.

Little Acorns in Costessey is held on a Thursday 10-11.30. They have singing, stories, craft, and play plus lovely snacks for the children. Only costs a £1.00. There is a notice on this website with address etc.

Hiya, what about a music group? Theres been a really good one running at the health shop at the Norman centre for years, very good with lovely instruments for the children to use. Good fun.

youngmumbrogan, what about the brewsters play centre at the holiday inn at thorpe? Its not huge but that does mean they at least try to clean it and you can have a meal at the same time.
