My husband is starting a new job in Lincoln soon and we are relocating. We are looking for somewhere to live and have done some internet research before doing some visits. We are looking to rent an apartment, bungalow or 2 bed house and are looking forward to living somewhere clean, quiet, safe, good primary schools, fairly good transport links, nice community feel and no more than 30min commute to Lincoln. We don’t mind being in the nice suburbs of Lincoln, but also like the idea of neighbouring villages. So far Nettleham, Cherry Willingham, Washingborough seem nice. We’ve seen that North Hykem and Bracebridge are nice, but we would rather be East of Lincoln city and out as we want to be closer to the coast. We are in our mid 30’s, enjoy the outdoors aswell as nice restaurants and almost like a country chic type vibe. We are Catholic and somewhere close to a church is important too. We don’t want anywhere built up or near industrial sites or anything like that. Views, scenery and just a nice feel of a place is important. We will be far away from family and so it’s important we make friends and build a community for ourselves. We would appreciate any thoughts from anyone who knows Lincolnshire well.
