Hi! I’m looking for a hammam here in London that’s similar to the one at the Grande Mosquée de Paris.
If you haven’t been there, it’s all female and feels like it’s been there forever. It’s very quiet, and when you lay on the warm marble slabs in the various steam rooms, time disappears and you can be alone with your thoughts. I especially loved that the women there ranged from lithe 20-something’s to great-grandmothers and every variety of shape and size between them, but no one seemed uncomfortable and if they did, any discomfort melts away.
Also, and importantly, the gommage is excellent!!
