There will be three meetings to get involved with the knitting of an Oxfam blanket to highlight maternal mortality in the third world. Oxfam are hoping for 225.000 9" squares to present a gigantic blanket to Parliament. Afterwards the blanket will be divided into smaller blankets which will be sold in their shops and at festivals.
You will have an opportunity to get involved in Northampton on 11th May in Abington Park between 2 and 5 pm and between 2pm and 4pm on 15th and 16th May at the Open Door Centre, 147 Kettering Road, Northampton. Knitted squares, preferably in double knit, any stitch, knitted or crocheted can be handed in at the Open Door shop, Kettering Road until the 15th July.
