So, I'm giving up work - what can I do with my 19th month old daughter?

I've taken the very scary step of handing my notice in at work after being there for 12 years so I can spend more time with my little girl (I'm also 11 weeks pregnant and childcare for two will be expensive etc and I'm fed up of constantly needing to rush everywhere...) Having gone back to work full time I'm completely out of touch with things I can do locally - can anyone help with suggestions?

Any ideas gratefully received...

Hi Michelle.
I'm up near the University's main Whiteknights campus in Reading, and I've got transport so I can get anywhere pretty easily.

Hi, the Family Information Centre in Reading is brilliant. Their number is 0800 3289148. Tell them where you live and they'll send you info on all the local groups and activities in your area.

Definately worth joining the Toy Library too, its fab. You can join at any library and request items online (you can choose which library to pick the toys up from) or go to Southcote Library which is where all the toys are kept and get your little one to choose. You need proof of address and signiture to join and its £5 for the year, then you just pay 50p-£1 per item for a months loan... bargain!
