antenatal classes

Anyone come across antenatal classes in Hillingdon that they'd recommend? I've only been offered one day at Hillingdon hospital and the NCT classes cost a bomb!! Anyone come across anything else?? Little bit daunted by the prospect of only getting one day!

Hi heatherls, I did the Parentcraft class offered by Hillingdon Hospital, and I'm afraid I didn't find it very helpful. It was good to look round the labour ward, but the information provided about actually giving birth, pain relief etc was woefully inadequate. I did shell out for the NCT classes which I thought were very good, but not sure what else is available. Hope one of the other local mums can help you.

When's your baby due? My son is 14 months, and I'm expecting my second baby in October.

Both dw and I are from other parts of the country so needed to join the NCT for the classes just to have a local support network.
