Girton Housing Situation changes

I am considering buying a house in Girton to be nearer to central Cambridge.

However I’ve noticed a lot of houses coming on the market in Girton in the last few weeks. Is there any particular reason for this high level of house sales?

Are there any future developments in the pipeline that is causing current residents to sell and move out of the area?

Any insights and guidance is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

The Darwin Green development is happening now on the land between the A14 and the South of Girton. Possibly that may make it feel like less of a village in the long term, but I haven't heard anyone really worrying about it. It's a great place to live so I would highly recommend it.
