Hi, we are hoping to move to as close to the Lakes as possible, but on a budget - to somewhere very quiet but close to a main town. We had thought of milnthorpe (DH has been there and liked it) and I’ve seen Carnforth online. The main wants are countryside walks from the door and nice clean water for paddle boarding etc. the only feedback I can find is from 10 years ago and the places suggested are out of our budget. Any opinions on Milnthorpe and carnforth these days? Thanks :)
